October Meeting

Our October meeting was held on Wednesday the 5th of October and was our AGM.

Birthday Flowers (made by our resident florist Michelle) were presented to Pamela B, Joan E, Gladys S, Ann S, Linda S and Pamela H.

The balance sheet was distributed and it was nice to see that we were out of the red and into the black. More "fun fundraising" next year I think!

We quickly got through the meeting bit as the smell of the Pie and Peas cooking was killing us! The Pie was delicious (as ever) and made by Pam B (who had made it then gone on holiday!)
We all enjoyed it very much.
We do a lot of eating at this W.I !

The Full Monty

Many thanks to Sybil for organising our outing this week to see The Full Monty at The Academy Theatre in Birdwell. I think we all really enjoyed this (and from where I was sat I could see from the look on Sybil's face that she enjoyed it very much!)

As usual the standard of acting and singing was superb.

My only problem was that I noticed that one of the strippers is a bloke who delivers our stationery at work! I shan't know where to look when he delivers the next lot!
